Satellite townships - The relationship between land, money, design and the desperate need to supply housing seems to have driven a mindless expansion of satellite settlements on the edge of towns and villages across the UK. The pursuit of profit by land owners seems to have trumped any sort of thoughtful planning  on how these new settlements will link and merge with the existing towns they are placed next too.

There seems to be the least amount of space possible in between the dwellings, with little to no thought going in to how these developments look from the outside. Its almost as if someone has a formula to take an area of land and pack in the highest amount of units to create the greatest yield.
